The artist has donated the complete sum of his £25,000 honor winnings to the MVT, which works to preserve the UK's small music venues.

Fender was presented with the prize on October 16 as his third album the album was declared the top album of the previous year.

Fender has opted to donate the funds to the Music Venues Trust, in acknowledgment of the essential function small stages had in his initial steps.

"I would not have achieved this success if it hadn't been for all the gigs I performed around the area, and beyond, when I was starting out," stated Sam Fender. "These spaces are renowned, but they are struggling."

Beginning in 2023, at least 150 of these venues have ceased operations – roughly 16 percent of the total UK scene.

Recently, major artists such as Pulp, Coldplay, the singer Katy Perry and Sheeran have all supported the MVT in its efforts to support the industry, by applying a modest fee to their ticket costs, which goes to help local stages.

He also participated, collecting over £100k on his live tour to assist 38 grassroots venues across Britain.

These funds assisted locations that were facing potential shutdown due to challenges caused by flooding, fire incidents and family tragedies, as well as permit problems, court cases and neighbor objections.

Additional spaces obtained monetary aid in upgrading infrastructure and technical equipment that directly benefitted artists and audiences.

"The concept that funds from concerts in major spaces helps the local stages, where it kicks off for artists like me, is just sensible," the star has said.

"Additionally, I gave a grand to the center, to their gymnastics class, because I trained in gymnastics when I was younger and they required updated gear," Ms Dynamite shared with the media.

Previously, the band gave their funds to the youth organization that developed their group, alongside other independent music bodies.

Additionally winners that year the group contributed their prize to a MS organization after a acquaintance was identified with the illness.

"Receiving the award was quite enough," stated artist the singer. "The cash was the extra but we didn't need the bonus, because we had the honor. So our victory impacted the lives of others."

In the past week, the trust revealed it had saved two small stages in that region, by bringing them into public stewardship.

One venue in the city and the second in that location were acquired under the public acquisition scheme, which is funded by a national body and supporters who buy "stakes" in the buildings.
